Kaskade at Maya Day & Nightclub (Review)
I was given the opportunity to see Kaskade this past Saturday at the stunning Maya Day and Nightclub in Scottsdale, Arizona. With temperatures reaching around 110 degrees on Saturday, Kaskade made sure to bring the right tracks to cool everyone down (the pool helped a little too). When I arrived to the venue fans were getting a little cranky with rumors that Kaskade’s set would be starting a little late, but the second “Eyes” began to play over the speakers the vibe quickly changed. Most people including myself showed up expecting to hear all the Kaskade classics but instead he surprised me by throwing down some material from other artists too. Since this is a music blog I have decided to share some of my favorite tracks from his set below. Besides the songs listed below Kaskade also put together a few impressive mashups that can be found on his SoundCloud page. He is unlike most high profile producers because he isn’t afraid to share free music every now and then. When I first started to write this blog free music was very often the norm but as the year has gone by this is now longer true. Kaskade understands that sometimes we like free music and has stayed true to those roots. His newest single “Atmosphere” was released on Monday for those of you who enjoyed his uplifting set, this one is not free but instead is available on iTunes.

This is one of the biggest events to hit Scottsdale in a while in my personal opinion. It has been two years since I heard Kaskade live for the first time at Soundwave Music Festival and I still have the set from that night stuck in my head. Not sure what he has planned for his set Saturday but I will guarantee you will never forget it. His opening track never fails to give everyone goosebumps and I think this will be true once again on Saturday. Here a few tracks I hope to hear this Saturday and wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t open with his newest track “Atmosphere”. Kaskade at Maya Day and Nightclub
I just found out that one of my favorite producers of all time will be performing at Maya Day and Nightclub on June 8! After seeing him perform at SoundWave Music Festival two years ago I instantly put him in my top list of house music producers. I think one of the main reasons I remember his set from SoundWave was because it was perfect and exactly what music lovers look for in a set! Mr FijiWiji ft. Laura Brehm – I Remember (Deadmau5 & Kaskade Cover)
One of my favorite all time songs is I Remember from Deadmau5. Often covers can be hit or miss because many are unable to live up to the original. I must say Mr FijiWiji and Laura Brehm did an awesome job and I’s super stoked to have found this track.
