ASUdubstep.com’s The First Year In Review
It is hard to believe that last October ASUdubstep.com did not exist. The original name was DUb_- aka DUB STEP the ”_-” was supposed to be a “step”. I was sitting in my statistics class not paying any attention apparently when me and Rdot as he goes by on this site decided to put together an idea for a music blog. Literally within the hour and fifteen minute class we had created a game plan for ASUdubstep over Facebook chat. I won’t bore you with the rest of the details, instead I’ll show you what songs and posts came together this past year to get us to where we are now. A spot we hope to grow from to create something more than just an EDM blog. Here is our first year in review:
The Testing Phase:
We had never run anything like this before, all we had was a name and some songs we thought were cool. We decided to see if the blog even worked, here are the first two songs we tested:

So the first two songs weren’t exactly dubstep but we had a start, now we needed to add some dirty bass to this thing. Below are some of the first songs actually posted:
The Game Changer:
It’s December and we finally are seeing our work being recognized on the world-wide web, and on December 9 Rdot happened to be one of the first to post Skrillex’s highly anticipated remix of Avicii’s Levels. Well lets just say our views exploded and we saw the post take in 38,817 views in just one day!
